Sligo Creek is headlining in this awesome cause! Now in its third year going strong, the St. Philomena Medical Benefit Concert is a family-friendly night of music and fun that will leave people of all ages ready for more. All profits from this concert are donated to help local families affected by medical issues defray the cost of expenses. There will be a beer garden and amphitheater seating for those who wish to sit and plenty of dance space for the young-at-heart! Located just miles from historic Harpers Ferry this show would be a great way to end a day of Kayaking or tubing while supporting a noble cause! We hope to see you there!
Sligo Creek's own music festival! Each year we have a fabulous line-up of local musicians and bands spanning rock, bluegrass, traditional Celtic, and indie. We have yard games and swimming, food and drink aplenty, open mike, a campfire in the evening, and lots of room for a tent if you don't want to leave! (a pancake breakfast will be served in the morning.) All of this is free, so you really have no excuse. Can't wait to see you!
Sligo Creek was honored to join with The Heights School and The Bog Band, in sponsoring 'Chesterton Pub' - an evening of Irish Music and Dance, with all proceeds benefitting The Mustard Seed Foundation of Jamaica.
Mustard Seed Communities provides residential care to over 400 children and adults in 13 homes across Jamaica. The populations they care for comprise the most vulnerable groups in Jamaican society: children and adults with disabilities, children affected by HIV/AIDS, and young mothers in crisis.
All are welcome and donations are greatly appreciated.
